Having a flower garden is like watching a constant parade. We've already had the tulips and ajuga of early spring, and now it is time for peonies and oak leaf hydrangea. All eyes go to the West Side of my house at this time of year for the spectacular show.

Nice idea for details - I love those blue/greens!
The last five pages - more wonderful and beautifl work from stargirls world!
BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I love how you've included the detail of the plants -- great composition!!!!!
I love the way you have set up the page! Your drawings are ALWAYS exqusite, this just adds another layer of interest!
I forgot to say: when I first opened up your blog, I misread the title and thought it said "My Bloomers", which I thought was going to be a hoot!
What a great idea for a layout! I'm going to try this kind of journaling myself.
I'm with the others, that's a great layout! It showcases the whole front yard and the details! My dad has peony bushes in the back yard, I remember the buds and flowers are always covered with tiny ants!
I love this! The details are so much fun...and so beautifully designed!
I love these layouts you're doing--so very inspiring!
Hello Starr, I'm a new member on edm so i came to your blog from there. Myself and my husband are hoping to do a journal of our garden. Your work is very beautiful, especially May bloomers. My husband recently got a present of a moleskin journal and I'd love to use it for the garden journal. I haven't used a moleskin before and am also very new to watercolours and ink: have you any advice for me? All the best, Ger, in Ireland
Hi again Starr, I see on your profile that you've read The Kite Runner...coincidently (if there is such a thing)I just finished reading it 2 nights ago - it's got to be one of the most moving books I've ever read. Bye for now, Ger
Starr, I love this one. I wonder where all this wonderful imagination and freedom come from. Did you have to work at it, to get this free and loose? I notice many of your graphite work is exacting, but this is superb. nel
great comments here! "my bloomers" would be a great challenge, don't you think?? We should send it to Karen!
Ger - I will send you an email to answer your questions...
Nel - YES! I have to WORK at staying loose in my drawings! it is very hard for me to do! Oh, that i could just zip off wonderful sketches and make lots o' money with them!! LOL!!
