What a sweet story, Starr. I had a BIG mauve chair with flat arms that I stuffed myself and each of my children in to read stories to. It has the same fond memories for me, but alas, I had to throw it out finally a year or so ago. I should have gotten the wooden rocker I was thinking about when the first one was a baby!
OH MY!! Give me a cup of coffee, a snuggly afgan and let me lose myself in that chair!! GRANDGLORIOUS!!!! And I love your story too!! WONDERFUL, Starr!
What a beautiful old chair. The song brings back memories, too, it was one of my grandfather's favorites.
:-D I also love the song and sing it still! And your "quick sketches" never fail to blow me away!
Is it wonderful to look at an object and it brings out all those memories! I love your story!
