drawing on a summer sunday

Even though I've cleaned the kitchen and done several loads of laundry, today has been a lazy kind of day. I keep going and drawing in between other things and here is what has accumulated. First a garden sketch from yesterday evening. A bit overdone since I tend to forget that my Moleskine is not the watercolor paper version. I wish I had gotten that for my Garden Book! Oh well, next time...

Meanwhile, the shrub rose out back - Fairy - is blooming like mad:

And just for good measure, I went and got "5 things" from the bathroom. I've never gotten "tagged" for the "5 things" game, so I'll just do my own!!

I love your blog and all your sketches! I just started sketching a few months ago and I am obsessed with it. Your sketches are very inspirational.

OK, I'm going to sound a little weird here but with all the terrific new sketches you've posted it's the garden tiles and the depth you've conveyed that I want to say, "Well done" about.

Your drawings are awesome! Especially the garden one! If you want to be 'tagged' and do the five things list, I can give you the questions. It's lots of fun to do and your readers get to know a bit more about you.
1) Five things in your fridge.
2) Five things in your closet.
3) Five things in your purse.
4) Five things in your car.
5) Five people I will tag.
There have been other questions asked on a previous meme. If you want to read more please visit my Blog and click on the archives for February and for May. Scroll down to find the tag lines.
Of course, you could come up with your own set of questions and start off with your answers and then tag 5 people to carry it on. You just can't use the same questions as have been asked before. Have fun!

I want to live inside your sketches. Your patio is so warm and inviting. It makes me feel all cozy and happy.

Starr,

Your patio sketch makes me want to come hang out.
Don't know how you got missed in the tag thing, love it that you just jumped in and did your own!
Glad you could spend a lazy weekend there for a while you sounded like that just did not happen!
